John Pratt started the business in October of 1990 after working for three different photography studios. He named the studio using his initials and adding impressions. Why impressions you ask? At the early age of 5 he started doing vocal impressions of Donald Duck. Over the years he has added vocal impressions of Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Carey and others. He and his all star staff enjoy creating and capturing smiles. Our motto is “JP Impressions, where the photography is fun and the results are fantastic!”
The studio is currently located in the SOFA district of San Jose. We are on the same block as Original Joe’s restaurant and just three doors to the left of the historic California Theater. The SOFA MARKET is just to the left of our studio serving great food, coffee, ice cream and cocktails. There is ample parking on the street or nearby parking structures. We validate parking at the lot located at 280 S 2nd Street, San Jose 95113. It is just a short 1/2 block away from the studio. When you come to the studio please be sure to bring your smile!
